Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong, higher recognized by his stage title Black Sherif, is a quickly rising artist in Ghana.

Blacko, who grew up in Konongo Zongo within the Ashanti Area, claims that he was closely influenced by the recognition of dancehall music from an early age.

Black Sherif, showing on Asaase Radio in Accra through digital interview from London, revealed that though his mom launched him to Highlife, his father first performed him Reggae.

“The primary tune I ever created was a dancehall tune, so I suppose you might name myself a dancehall artiste from the times of Konongo Zongo after I first started making music.
