The Ghana Soccer Affiliation has refuted claims that it obtained $800,000 from the Ministry of Finance to assist pay for friendlies in opposition to Brazil and Nicaragua.

Collins Atta Poku and Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo, two Ghanaian journalists, mentioned on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, that Ken Ofori-Atta, the minister of finance, had paid the Ghana Soccer Affiliation (GFA) $800,000 to cowl match bills in the course of the September 2022 worldwide break.

The GFA responded to this report by denying ever receiving such funds from the Ministry of Finance and advising most of the people to disregard it.
